Power BI Visualization/Dashboard Developer

Broadway Ventures is seeking a skilled and creative Power BI Visualization/Dashboard Developer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement interactive dashboards that drive informed decision-making across the organization. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to transform complex data into clear, insightful visual stories.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Insight Development

  • Analyze complex datasets to extract actionable insights aligned with business goals

  • Identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure accurate interpretation within reports and dashboards

Dashboard and Visualization Design

  • Develop user-friendly, visually compelling dashboards using Power BI

  • Leverage a variety of visualization tools, including charts, graphs, maps, and slicers, to enhance data storytelling

Data Modeling and Integration

  • Build efficient, high-performing data models within Power BI

  • Cleanse, transform, and aggregate data from various sources such as databases, spreadsheets, and cloud applications

  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency throughout all dashboards

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with business users to gather requirements and translate them into effective dashboard solutions

  • Recommend improved data utilization methods based on analysis and user feedback

Optimization and Documentation

  • Continuously refine dashboards for performance and usability

  • Document data sources, transformation processes, and dashboard specifications

  • Apply quality assurance protocols to validate data integrity

Training and Support

  • Develop training materials and conduct sessions for end-users

  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for dashboard-related issues

Innovation and Best Practices

  • Stay current with the latest Power BI features and industry best practices

  • Promote and apply standards for clear, accurate, and consistent visual communication

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

    • Bachelors is preferred
  • Proven experience in developing interactive dashboards with Power BI; familiarity with Tableau, Excel, or QlikView is a plus

  • Strong grasp of data modeling, analysis, and visualization techniques

  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation

  • Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities

  • Power BI certification or similar credentials preferred
