Role Description
The Salesforce Business Analyst plays a key role in designing, implementing and supporting strategies to improve efficiencies in the Salesforce CRM system and related applications.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand and document their business requirements, information needs, and data sources.
- Support all CRM end user day-to-day needs, from timely issue resolution to reporting and user training.
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions and meetings, prepare presentations, and obtain business meaningful signoffs at various design, development, and roll out project phases.
- Document gaps between current processes vs future state including business use cases and process flows.
- Track, mitigate, escalate and remediate issues that arise through the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Partner with business process owners and IT management on strategic initiatives.
- Produce ad hoc reports to answer business questions quickly and accurately using a variety of data sources and query tools.
- Maintain knowledge of business, technology and platform trends that impact the business environment.
- Identify new projects or opportunities to help grow business.
- Drive projects forward by managing detailed project plans, timelines, contractual obligations, budget, internal/external communications, and support materials.
- Identify and track project metrics to determine project effectiveness.
- Facilitate business and cultural change.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of experience with Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud environments.
- Salesforce Administrator certification required.
- 3-4 years of related experience in business analysis, project management support or equivalent role.
- 3+ years of experience in supporting Sales and Contracting departments, from designing and enhancing existing processes to daily operational support.
- Strong functional knowledge of and experience in quoting and contracting operations, processes and terminology.
- 3-4 years of experience facilitating communication and providing support to both business and technology team members in challenging technical, custom and package software implementation projects in cross-functional and global environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Comfortable recommending and presenting solutions to senior managers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a diplomatic manner dealing with many large and demanding stakeholders.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with Excel to perform analysis and manipulation on large sets of data (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Experience with CPQ and Contract Management applications or related technologies and processes.
- Salesforce CPQ and Apttus experience a plus.
- Experience in providing direct support to end users such as issue resolution, reporting, and training a plus.
- Ability to apply CRM architectural principles to business solutions, translating Contracting needs into clear specifications to the development team.
- Experience participating in large, complex transformation projects.
